First Impressions (May 21 and June 2, 2024)

According to JimInks, "The very grassy, mildly tart and tangy citrusy Virginia also offers some toast, earth and wood. The earthy, woody perique is spicy with a little raisins, plums and figs in a support role." What do I get? Licorice! The fruity, plum-like, peppery Perique produces this, I think.

Licorice is what I smell in the jar, what I taste on the retrohale, and what I smell on my lips after a smoke. I feel like I'm in a candy shop, or eating licorice in a movie theater. It's a pleasant taste alright, but very mellow. Sometimes I wish it were stronger. However, perhaps this a plus.

This doesn't take a light especially well, but there is no difficulty lighting Luxury Navy Flake, at least when it's rubbed out. I don't recall having to relight it very much.

The nicotine hit is mild. This mildness, combined with a cheap price in bulk, means Luxury Navy Flake can make for a good all-day smoke. I think I will enjoy this blend, and perhaps VaPers in general. Four stars.
